The most essential quality a life coach must have is the ability to listen and empathize. Sympathizing is feeling for the client, empathizing is putting your self in those clientsí shoes. By empathizing you are able to visualize a clientís life and reflect it to him so he sees how he is like, similar to looking into the mirror. Whatís more you can make activities that are more appropriate and individualized. The key to being a successful life coach is being able to listen without planning the rebuttal in your head.

Second is the ability to control ones urge to give advices. A life coach does not tell the client what to do. The life coach helps the client realize what it is he or she is looking for. A guide must be fun loving and innovative. The basis of life coaching is creating packets and interactive programs that aide the client in internalizing and realizing potentials, wants, desires, and goals.

Lastly a life coach must be eager to help, and from this eagerness arises the desire to be trained.  A life coachís job is critical. You have to be able to recognize who needs encouragement and who has a serious problem. Life coaching is highly criticized because a lot of people claim as experts without proper training. Where To Get Training

Local community college’s and universities offer courses in psychology, and there is always abundance in training and seminars out there. Potential life coach get some psychological education, some and many that I have heard become coaches because of their own trials and tribulations, they have tried a life coach or some workshop/seminars and from the growth they received they took on responsibility and worked with someone, felt good and got good results and took on someone else, then began charging for their services.

Life coaching does not only deals with the sunny side of life nor do they take on persons with minimal problems, issues, they do know there limitations and if they feel they can not support this person in breaking through, or they feel this person had a psychotic break down they will refer to a Doctor or someone who has more Training and expertise working with someone they feel they would not be of service to.

 Most people you ask today as a Life Coach “Can you tell me who you are? What, will have you stand out in the crowd? Do you get recognitions both at work and in your clubs or associations?”

Many people try to answer with affirmatives and what is appropriate.  They want to say all the right things but the answers they give, have loud under-tones of strong negativity and confusion.  The reason is not because they don’t know who they are, or what their skill level is. It is because lack confidence. This shows up in the various parts of their lives, they dont know how to get out of the ruts, or onto their feet. So they decide they should seek a professional, YOU a Life Coach.

Most people lack belief that they have skills, and in their abilities to accomplish the task that is in front of them. The question the talent they posses. These are the same skills and abilities that they have been utilizing all their lives and especially in their adult years. A Life Coach does not give them these abilities and skills when they begin working with them. A Life Coach show there client how to bring out those skills to serve them in their professional and private lives, then allows them to see that the work the client does not define them although the client thinks it does.

The client’s work never reveals to them their element. With them thinking they are doing everything right and their life is turning out not how they wish it to a Life Coach will present programs and processes that will help the client achieve the life they wish and shows them to look inside for the instructions on  how to obtain peace in their environment. Not until certain questions are asked of them, will they see what greatness they posses, Maybe? Nahhh! they won’s see it because they are not trained to see it.
If anything they are programmed not to see how great they really are and what a special person they can be.  Some people try and try but they are met with opposition in their own minds. Try as they may, they can not tap that key element that says who they are. The proper use of you as a life coach and the tools that you show them will enhance their ability to see the greatness inside and they will break through the barriers that have been holding them at bay.

Most people go through various stages of development. Some move faster than others in scholastics, athletics, technology, and romance.  Others are more analytical, and still others are more pragmatic or dogmatic in their lives. The different feelings thoughts and emotional states still don’t or can’t answer the questions! Who are you and what is your purpose here and now? and as the Coach you are hired to take little information and compile a program that will transform however number of years your client has faced, being who they are in all of their lack (perceived “Lack”).

There are tools that one can be implemented and/or practiced that will develop  the person to the point they can easily find their element and answer the questions.  Once you find your element you become more empowered and more likely to obtain the life you have been searching for. The worst thing that could happen once you learn to use these tools is you will be better prepared to see others fear of success and anticipation of failure and show them how you recognized they are better than they perceive themselves to be.
